I'd like nickel on the brown wood -- you've got the appliances and backsplash to justify that tone. You could maybe make a linkage to the rest of the house by using coordinating black (bronze) pulls on the gray cabinets. Then you get good contrast in each case.

Wow! That's awesome and it helps a lot. Based on these, I think I like the ORB better.

My cabs are that color. We went with ORB/black and I love them. The kitchen designer recommended them so they don't complete with the wood. Good luck!

Stormee, our cabinets are a bit lighter, and we have a stainless sink and appliances but like you we have ORB light fixtures, ceiling fans and door hardware so we went with the ORB on our cabinets. We are happy with our choice.

I think the Emtek Pewter would be a great mix and outside the box finish for the cabinets bringing in a lot of other elements into play. That's a great suggestion. I'll have to get a sample one and put it up. I definitely like the silver tones against the dark cabinets but I do feel as though going with a nickel might be too much. This one is a great in between. Thanks!

I'd use black, and keep it simple. No law says you need to use the same style/size everywhere.
