I'm a little confused. Do you mean for table height? I prefer counter height

My kitchen counters are counter depth but I am thinking of raising the opening to the dr to bar height. Sorry I do not have a pic

That's what I was thinking after all pics I have been going through. Thank you

It may looked dated, but we recently added a bar-height counter between our kitchen and dining room and we LOVE LOVE LOVE it! The kids sit there for breakfast or to do their homework or just hangout and talk to me while I'm working in the kitchen. Also, it creates a little division between the two areas without closing up the space and it helps hide any kitchen mess I haven't gotten to. Trends come and go, but chances are you'll be living with your kitchen for many years. Do what makes you happy!

We love our bar height counter between the kitchen and open dining area. It hides the kitchen a little and I don't like one big expanse of flat countertop there. And I like the distinction between the height of the bar chairs and the height of the dining chairs. Counter stools near dining chairs seem too close in height to me to look right so close together. Just my opinion.
