Looks as though winter has arrived in the Eastern US and tries to make up for it's lallygagging for some time. All that are affected: stay warm and safe!

These storms look really serious. Take care.

We lucked out again, were at the western edge of the mess. Had about 6", but nobody can say for sure, since the wind blew the powdery snow all over the place, Have green lawn spots and 3 ft over 25". Before I tucked in for the night I shoveled once more the driveway and stairs, it had mostly stopped snowing, just a couple of flurries on the horizon. This morning the drifts in the driveway were kneedeep. Shoveled a path to the street for just in case something happens, but then the neighbor with the snowblower from his farm brought also an ATV with a snowplow attachment and between him, his daughter and a couple of us able people we had the cleanest street and drives. in town.

The East looks horrible.

Everyone stay safe. That storm really is messing up a lot of places, isn't it!

Here is an idea for you...

1959/1960-Iowa me 9 my sister 11 crawling out and my brother 2 1/2 out side our back door. Miss it but could not survive it now, best to you that brave the storm.

Snow looks so pretty on my monitor, but it realy is a great hardship for those who have to deal with it. I wish them all warmth and safety and will not complain about rain.

mwheel is exactly who I thought about last night when I heard which area got the most snow. 30+ inches! Makes my simple 8 or so inches seem very minute. It'll all melt today. We have temps headed for the 50s and rain.

Everyone stay safe!
