I think there are two problems...if setting up other side for a dining room, the tv shouldn't be on that wall. It's also a shame to lose so much space in your living room to be closer to the tv. Try the couch under the window, tv on wall where side board is (and move it to the dining room). Play around with single chair's location (angled or not) facing the tv. To help ground the seating area, you may want a larger square coffee table. Perhaps the picture below will help. Enjoy your new home

actually the tv now is right to my right on a wall you can't see. The room goes in a little there. My husband HAS to have the couch facing the tv...he doesn't like when you are sitting looking at it sideways.

Wait for good light and post a shot from each corner. That helps us.

From what I can see, why not move the dining table where the sectional is and put the sectional in table's spot for easy viewing?

Don't let some light fixture dictate to you how to use your rooms!

that makes sense. I was thinking having the tv on the far way with the couch facing it and chair backing to the window....not a good idea?

Every picture certainly changes the feel of the room. I would just place the couch up against the wall or right up to the sideboard, so it acts as a console in a way. With the size of the tv, a few feet shouldn't make a difference for viewing. Leaving this arrangement doesn't make the tv the focal point as you enter the room and will allow for more floor space.
