If you go to register of Orchids kept in the UK you will find that there are about 10,000 registered Dendrobium names.

Lots of types.

The type you are seeking is the warm growing hardcane type that will grow like a weed in Hawaii, Tropical parts of Australia, South East Asia.

You might find similar types listed as "Intermediate Dendrobium types" on an orchid catalogue. "Intermediate" in the sense that the flower is not round and filled in as the Phalaenanthe Type but not as thin and twisted as the Antelope types are.

So, can you buy one in Europe? Can you grow it? Needs warmth, humidity and good light???

Thanks Arthurm. I do have a greenhouse , and I have several tropical plants and orchids that need warmth, humidity and light. I have installed a climatizer, humidifier and special lighting, and since in madrid its warm starting early may, I keep my orchids outside until mid october ( minimum temp 17C) Never had problems having my vandas bloom.
