More light in the room!

No faux beams you don’t want to put a shelf above the T.V. lower your art work that I can see and you need lighting for sure

No wood beams, no shelf above to. I would again add more light but also would add some pillows on the chair bright and colorful and change drapes to blinds to let more light in. Try pot lights in the room that would help too.

Agree - no to shelves and no beams. I would do Romans on the Windows next to the tv and coordinating panels on other Windows. Layer with pillows to bring in some color and contrast.

The room is pretty bright, it's just the picture I took came out a bit dark. I have 4 windows with wood blinds would you recommend removing them and put in Roman blind. Just looking a less costly idea.

There is an easy way to make faux roman shades with any fabric. You do not even have to sew. Why pay a couple of hundred dollars for roman shades when you can do 4 windows for $100. You can get iron on hemming tape or even fabric glue to finish the edges. Make a bar casing on the top and bottom. Hang them on inside or outside the window frame. Another casing on the bottom. Get a wood rod for bottom slide it in casing for weight. Fold the bottom up in 3" tiers and pin. They look great and you can make them as long as you like. Of course you can't raise or lower them, but if you don't need for privacy not an issue. You can also forget the folds and just let them hang.

No don't remove the other blinds just where we see drapes behind the sofa it would me more symmetrical and the light would shine in more. If the room is light enough just add the pillows you will be surprised how much pinch that will add also maybe a mirrored tray on the coffee table with some candles in super pretty!

What about putting white beams across the room to add architectural detail, accent your ceiling and fill the negative space?
