:) well I think a room really needs a table lamp; not just for light but for their beauty! These are from Currey& Co.

Like the the idea of a small table between the chairs w/ a lamp.
Leave the style to you, it looks good so far. A large curving floor lamp that hangs over the coffee table almost like a large drum
Chandler. Don't know what they are called but PB has at least one nice one. Don't know how to show it. Add one at a time and see how it evolves. May need a tiny floor one at the end of the sectional or it could be too busy. RH has some nice ones, not all cost a fortune. Haven't checked out the new modern collection.

If that is a fireplace behind the chairs I wouldn't put a lamp and table there. If the seating was rotated with the chairs in front of the windows that could work. Floor lamps or torchieres with attached goose neck reading lamps flanking the sectional by the windows would work. They could give ambient light or reading light as needed. we like dimmers on ours.

I agree with rotating the arrangement 90 degrees , with the back of the sectional toward the kitchen and the other part facing the window. Then the chairs in front of the window, with a table and lamp In between . All this applies only if there is truly a fireplace behind the chairs. This arrangement also takes advantage of the view.

@carolyngarland -to the opposite of the couch are french doors going out to a courtyard, so not sure that would be ideal. There is a fireplace behind the chairs. The pics aren't the best :(

Try this. Move the sofa so that it's centered in front of the fireplace. Then put the chairs on each side of the FP.

It might be useful to post a photo from our design portfolio. Take note of the light.

@casanovadesigngroup do you think the mixture of metals ( chrome lamp and some brass) would look good?? Thanks for posting the picture!!

I don't have a problem with the furniture placement; a table at the end of sofa by the chair with a lamp would be fine. Didn't realize there was a sofa table behind the large sofa! I'm guessing there isn't a receptive line the floor for a lamp here so therefore an arching floor lamp in the corner would work great. Mixing metals is fine, in fact I think it looks great!

Dawn , here are a few I shopped on Houzz. This one from Sonneman has a nice warm finish on the shade.

All makes sense now. No table and lamp between the chairs. Who ever thought of that? Oh yea, me. Table with lamp between chair and sectional. Small floor lamp next to the other chair. Still like the idea of a lg curving lamp coming from the back corner of the sectional. How many lamps you do depends on how much reading/ambient light you want. Style you choice. You have great taste. Kind of surprised you want help but it is fun.
