I've used a neem and soap water mixture but it leaves an oily film... Cut and throw away badly infected leaves..

1:40 dishwashing liquid to water, spray both sides of leaves, rinse off with clear water 10 minutes later. Kills most insects on contact.

Sorry, should have said the spray must contact insects to kill them. It is not instant but they die off fairly soon. I even use it for tomato worms, works great for cabbage worms too.

Agree about cutting leaves off where they have lost their green colour. Do not compost, get rid of them right away.
