We are in the process of building a modern prairie style home. We have this two sided fire place which is just off our front entry into the main living area. The kitchen is open to this living area. I am looking for ideas for this fireplace. Currently, we are planning a stone veneer to match exterior. Considering a floating hearth on front and side. Or we could do a built in in the space on the short side of fireplace. Probably, will not have a mantel. I look forward to reading your ideas!!
