My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Hi are these columns fiberglass or wood? I am having some put in and contractor wants to use fiberglass but I'm not sure if that's what people use on interior. Thanks! Mine are 6"

    For the interior we always fabricate out of wood or MDO which is a very stable material. You can also use "Polystone" which is a fabulous product and does not sound hollow when knock on it.

    So fiberglass is fine then? He says they look just like wood I haven't seen them yet

    Ask him to show you a sample, there are some fiberglass columns that are very thin and do not have a premium quality feel to them. The manufacturer name that we use is "Polystone" and it is a much thicker material, and I would not really consider it fiberglass.
