I just went through about 2 dozen pictures of Ruby Star and this one from 2012 is the only one I have showing the leaves. Yes, I guess If I look carefully, I would say they're channeled.

Don't get too complacent about this winter, 8 inches yesterday for us and "3" more storms showing for next week and we're (me) in the Jack Pot area. How nice....☺☺☺Donna

Well, I happen to have a rare Saturday off from work and I've been poking around the plants all morning long (between posting that is). I'm on heightened scape watch with the hippies and have poking in between the clivia leaves as well to see if anything's coming up. Good luck with the snow and stay indoors if you can help it :-)))

Hi Fred, I have also found it to be one of the most vigorous growers. Mine has grown to jumbo size or nearly so. The offsets grow quickly too. I left a couple of offsets in the ground this winter to see just how bulletproof it is. I haven't noticed the channeled leaves, but they do seem to be longer than most varieties. Bill
