If you are not ready to commit to redecorating your entire room, I would start with removing all of your accessories and replacing them with fewer, more modern pieces. If you are ready for a complete room overhaul, I think the room is definitely in need of some new flooring, paint, and window treatments.

Ideally I would like to remove and replace everything. But if there are must keep items I'm sure those can be worked around.

Your rug should be pulled towards the back wall. The loveseat should have it's front feet on the rug. A second suggestion is to remove the collection over the same loveseat. Instead find one large piece to go there. Which are the objects that must stay?

Paint is the last thing to choose. Remove the wall art and roll up the rug.

Are you looking to update the look of the room, have it be more modern? Do a different direction perhaps? I do recommend that the floor be replaced with wood. Lets try some area rugs.
