Add some pantry cabinets or a hutch on the wall with the window. And make sure your kitchen cabinets are maximizing space. Do they have pullouts or organizers of any kind? If not, check out rev-a-shelf products.

Having already spent money on the kitchen the obvious thing to do is utilize the wall space in the dining area, go from wall to wall. probably a pantry and bar area combination. it can also be used like a buffet area also this will give you the feeling it was planned that way and it will look great.

Just pull the dining table forward a bit you wont fell the loss of space.

I would put storage across the back wall where your mirror is I'm sure you could get a made to measure unit which will have all the storage you need. You could also have some shelves built in to it for books to lighten it a bit.

The other wall on the right doesn't show. I'm sure you have the refrigerator in that corner opening. If that right-side wall is empty, you could add shallow floor-to ceiling cabinets. Open the refrigerator door fully, then measure the available space. Twelve inch deep cabinets could be used for a pantry or for all your dishes and glassware.

Thank you for all your helpful suggestions. I am looking for space to keep all sorts of kitchen stuff, china, glasses, some dry food stuff.. So I think a hutch or armoire on the wall where the mirror is, should do it.

Large hutch or armoire on mirror wall would solve most of your problems, but you can also think creatively with the kitchen. For example, along island end facing wall (at refrigerator end) you could add flat storage for magazines/cookbooks; if you aren't using island for bar/eating, you can tuck shallow bookcases and display goods; etc.
