How long after grafting american chestnut till the scions start to push buds? Anybody know? These ones are in the livingroom, not in a greenhouse. Stock stubs look plump, scion buds still small, oldest graft Feb 1st, newest Feb 5th.
I'm more than eager to see them pop, but am new at this species, so don't know what to expect. These are cleft grafts into etiolated shoots of seedlings.
