Red Warty Thing AKA Victor--Another success from last year that I am offering seeds for. If you would like to give it a go in your own garden, shoot me an email and I will give you an address to send a SASE. hand pollinated/bagged for purity.
My squashes were prolific and large (up to 40# with no special care. My dog weighs 85# so they look a bit small next to her). They were a rich deep red with intricate warts and bumps. These did not keep as nicely as my others, I think because it is very easy to accidentally gouge off a wart, making a nice breech in the skin. The flesh was bright orange and sweet, of excellent cooking quality.

I also tried to hybrid cross of Red Warty with Juane Gros (see my last post), and have seeds from that if you are interested to grow them out and see what in the world they will look like.
