Do you even have soil mealy bugs in Jamaica? ? Did you see them once?

I saw foliar mealy bugs in Florida - they just cover the whole plants with white fuzz - that's probably the main pest in the tropical climate. People bring soil mealy bugs with soil when they acquire new potted plants. It is hard to get rid of them - but if you are cautious enough - you will never get them. If you purchase new plant, shake the old soil off, inspect the roots, spray the top and the bottom, plant in your soil - and isolate for some time - you will be OK.

As a matter of fact yes. I got an Av with it once but the plant died shortly after so I did not have a battle with it.
