Then & Now...

A while back, I posted about an unmarked Hoya I picked up. Y'all told me it was an Eriostemma, but I didn't realize it was an H. Eriostemma cv. 'Insano'. It's like, quintupled since I bought it, and that's after I took some cuttings because I'm a beauty school drop out. I love it! Grows like a weed and I can't wait to see les fleurs.

Tawny, if you're a beauty school drop out, does that mean you have pink hair and talk in a bubbly voice like Frenchy from Grease? ;)

Lol you know it! Did you catch any clips of Grease Live? It looked SO GOOD!

We have it DVR'd, but haven't watched it yet. I have heard that it was very good, though! Now, I adore Olivia Newton-John dearly, so I hope Julienne Hough really stepped it up for Sandy.

Now that they're doing Rocky Horror live this fall, I wonder if we will get a live production of Xanadu? They did turn it into a Broadway musical almost a decade ago, and it was like a self-parody from what I have read and seen on YouTube of the songs.

What a beautiful plant! I can't believe it grew that much in 4 months, IN WINTER! I thought Eriostemmas were hard to grow unless you live in a super sunny area.

Annnd March 17th. I went up a pot size about a week ago as I was having to water every other day, and it didn't slow this plant down for a second. I'm going to have to put it in the corner on a trellis because it's seriously the most bananas plant I've ever owned.

Eriostemmas like more roomy pots than your standard hoya. That being said, they won't be unhappy being potbound. They just like to stretch their legs...rather, roots.

Cool, thanks aurorawa. I'm sure I'll have to up-pot it again soon so I'll give it more room than I normally would.

@Kim, lol one mystery eriostemma coming your way...
