I think soaking might be too much. Mix to the directions. I use the powder. Same stuff. Just cheaper. Put it in a sprayer. I add it to my fertilizer mix. I use it every 2 week. Less in the winter depending on the weather. You can use it on all and any plants. I give it to my garden veggies. If a plant has been traumatized it gets it. A kid ran into my bushes. They were leaning. I gave it Maxi-crop. It worked.

It comes from Norwegian seaweed. They are not depleting it too. With orchids you can see the results. Your roots will be fatter and longer translucent tips.

In our group one of our best growers introduced it to us several years ago. Now we all use it. A big game changer. We buy it together for better pricing. Add it to your fertilizer for all your orchids, not just bare root divisions.

When I make some divisions I always give them extra maxi crop. I do not soak it.

Some complain that the powder clogs the sprayer. If you use the powder to avoid sprayer problems one must take extra precautions to not let a drop of water in the container of powder. That will cause clumps and problems for the sprayer. It is harder than you think because when filling the sprayer there is water all around. Including your hands. But I manage well with it and so do several others. It is a money saver.

The powder is what the liquid you are buying was before it became liquid. They import the powder only and package the powder and make up the liquid state side.

They will sell direct at wholesale if there is no retail outlet in your county. Cases only. Talk to your local growers and orchid friends to share a case and add to the savings.

Yes I use the maxi-crop and sometimes it will clog a sprayer. Heres a suggestion, put a portion you are going to use in a small container nuke it till all is dissolved then add it to your sprayer.
