I would agree with above post, take down the medicine cabinet, change little things like the wood toilet paper roll and light fixtures. I would paint the walls a neutral color but find something that makes the room pop, a colorful shower curtain perhaps? You could paint the vanity with benjamin moore advance paint (we painted our whole kitchen and it transformed it), or annie sloan chalk paint and put new hardware on. There is a lot of nice cheap flooring out there too! Our example of what a little paint can do to oak cabinets.

If you paint the trim around the doors, remember to paint the trim around the window. You can put down a nice throw rug in the middle of the floor to cover up the tile. Add some art to the walls. I like your shower curtain.

Paint walls and vanity. Put down linoleum squares on floor. Remove medicine cabinet and hang a nice framed mirror. Update faucet.

The vanity has very little storage space, so you need a big medicine cabinet. You can replace the medicine cabinet with a new three-way mirrored cabinet for under $600. Frameless edges will look a lot more modern.
