Window to left of sink

We are moving our kitchen in to what is now the breakfast room. there is going to be a window to the left of the sink. So should I leave the area in front of the sink open (no cabinets)? This room has a 9 foot ceiling, so there would be a lot of blank space.

Spend the money and make the window larger so it continues over new sink placement

That is a solid wall with an office on the other side.

I guess then it is up to you as to if you need the storage or not, I would try to move the sink under the window at all cost
