Something a little taller, softer. Nothing that will give it a full look because it should only get a little accent and stand on it's own.

Put nothing in them but they don't work in the niche area..way to small.
Maybe try to find some very tall apothecary jars with a pedestal and lid to give some height...you can fill them with anything you want!

This is 'art glass' you don't but anything in it. A taller one would be the right size for your niche

Put somewhere it will catch the light, you can always buy glass flowers for it if you wish, I have them and they are not that expensive, very pretty

I've grown up around objects of art. Some are display and some, like pottery for one, grow more appreciated when used. I think your niche is fine size wise, but the dark color does nothing for this vase. Your can easily paint your niche and it would be attractive there. Try it where it can catch the light; start a collection - glass looks especially pretty in a collection. If your niche is taller than this glass you could hang a small picture, a tile, something that complements the glass in color and is the right size.

You have a beautiful start to a fabulous collection. Plan a display for it and others you'll add to it.

Some sort up lighting in a base for it? A friend had battery powered twinkle lights in some large glass cylinders with thin tall branches sprayed white. As a glass artist I would let the piece shine on its own, but it could hold a tall full arrangement like dried hydrangeas.

niche needs to be white to show off vase better. another arty friend has a vase peacock feathers in a similar niche. I would use something light to not compete with glass color.
