Zipper quilt finished

Got the binding finished on the zipper quilt. Sharon made this and we traded for quilting. I think it came out great. Tim picked out a light purple with white lines for the backing and binding. I did a small meander in the white areas and SID around the "teeth" of the zippers. Our youngest grandson said we should name it "Rainbow Zippers".

I have been away so long, and returned to find that all is well!! Grammy, I do love the zipper quilt, for the color choices and quilting. I finally found the forum again!! It is a loooooong story! Happy to be back!! (former buteau3rd)

Bright and cheerful quilt. I love the quilting too. What kinda machine do you use? Do you have a quilting frame or a longarm?

Vasu, I have a mid-arm (Nolting Fun Quilter 17) on a Hinterberg Stretch frame. Not a fancy set up, but works nicely for me. I do have a stitch regulator, couldn't do it without one. Tim has also built me a wonderful big ironing board, cutting table, and sewing table. He is a wonderful enabler.

Thanks for letting me know. I did a search on TV and could only find curling on Friday nights.....late. I don't think they show them live right now......don't know the strategy of that.

Love the quilt and Rainbow Zippers name! I'm working on a zipper quilt using Star Wars fabric. What size is your quilt? I was just going to do SID, but I like the extra on yours.

This one is 45 x 51. I put a narrow sleeve on the back so it can be used as a wall hanging or a quilt. I like how the quilting in the white makes the "zipper" part stand out.

We are doing well as can be expected.............87 and 90...never expected !..But grateful for our health! Still loving my machines, quilting etc. It made me so happy to see the same names here!! Hope all is well with you and the rest! This made my day!
