Just wanted to show you these, because I do think that red can work on a wall (or a floor). It often gives a better result if you go bold and paint a large block of colour, than dot around rugs and cushions. Sometimes that is just uneasy on they eye, while a statement like a red wall gives you a focal point to rest your eyes on. And you can always break it up with some art.
My own experience with a red walls is that I got bored of it pretty quickly. I also did paint a wall orange (different space, different time) and got bored of that one even quicker. But it was the wrong shade of orange. Too 'flat' if you like. Too light. Painted the fireplace wall a paprika colour and three years later... still loving it. Just to say that the right shade of red is an important choice :-)
