The drapes are lovely only they need to touch the floor. The table runner I think should be long enough to hang over the table, but not so long it touches the chairs. I do think the room will benefit with one other color added. It could be coral or it could be almost any shade of blue or green.

I'm not fond of mirrors in the dining room (even though they are used so much). People don't like to look at themselves while eating. At least I don't & I do not like to look at others while they're eating. Hang a lovely original painting.

I love the yellow and gray in your space! Your curtains are lovely but they are too short as sandradclark mentioned. I would keep with the yellow theme but introduce different shades of yellow to add some variation even adding some orange and coral for dimension. You don't need to go for a yellow rug rather I would reccommend finding a rug that you are in love with first, then choosing new curtains after the rug. Now that you already have your furniture, choosing a rug you love next always make the design process easier.

Decorators are great and I definitely recommend them if you can find one that you love and works with your style, but if not, my best advice is to find a rug you love and build. Do you have a budget to work with for the rug?

300 because i like changing rugs out. That's the problem finding someone to help. I have no idea what color to start with.

Since you like changing rugs out, you can definitely go crazy with color choices and patterns. Check overstock and just look through and find one you love as you would love a piece of art. Then, you can decide on curtains which are much easier to match,
