flowers anytime now :)

I haven't posted in this forum but my love of these plants has changed
over the yrs. and now they take there place in some of my favorite
plants. I've had them for 10 yrs., blossomed 1st couple yrs. then I
really didn't do anything for them but water occasionally and left them
in a very bright room. I thought oh well the straps are pretty so didn't
do anything until 2 yrs. ago. Now that I have them on the holiday
resting period for the bulbs I have been rewarded with a beautiful
display each year. At the end of summer last yr.

I received your email through Houzz and I did answer it. But, I am always a little uneasy when I answer an email I receive through Houzz as to whether the answer went through or not because I can't find a place to view my answer! . thk u Donna, just not sure about fertilizing them at this point..I think they need some food so will probably fertilize the next watering. I'm excited to see them open and will posts some pics :)

Flowers opened and they are beautiful this yr.! So pleased with them :) I think the orange one looks like OS. I just looked at some pics of OS and they look the same. The red ones are just now opening and will look much better to take pic in a day or 2. I have so much to learn about hippies and can't wait to see others amazing flowers. Last yr. they were all together and the orange one had never flowered so I thought all red as the pkg. stated but once I started the flowering cycle we were surprised with huge orange flowers. It was a xmas gift to us yrs. ago and came in a kit and labeled red amaryllis so huge surprise after all the yrs. to see this beautiful orange one!! :) The other 2 bulbs are red and just starting to open...I think I may need hippies for dummies so I can catch up,lol thks for checking them out!

oops, wrong place but this is what they looked like together last yr. Only the 2nd time orange produced flowers and we couldn't believe we had an orange one.

Hi Donna, yes I did get the msg. thk u so much for the help!! I truly appreciate it. I was excited to read it and as I said I feel like a need a dummies for amaryllis to catch up on all of it :) I will answer the reply and hopefully you will get it. Is there a better way to send msg.? I will send u my email address as well when I reply. Thk u again... :)

Hi Donna,

Go to "Your Houzz" and click on "Messages." Then, look for your "Inbox" on the left. You will see your "Sent" messages, and be able to review them.
