Door Table/Counter

I painted a solid wood door that I had extra from a basement remodel. I need to apply a finish over it that will be sturdy and can by cleaned up from spills I will be using it as a serving counter and possibly a table. Do I use Polyurethane to cover? I also have a booth we made. The seats are currently painted. Is Polyurethane the answer there too? Any suggestions on applying product too

I you used good paint then I do not think you need a top coat. I am not a pro but this should bump you up and I hope a pro will respond.

use acrylic poly it won't yellow as much

Honestly, I wouldn't use a paneled door as a counter. Such a mess to clean up, not to mention spilled drinks when glasses topple from stile to flat. Sorry.

Finish? A good paint will last till you decide to change it for a slab door, or another smooth surface. If you decide to clear coat it, take the paint you used to the paint store, and ask for their recommendation. Not every coating works over every type of paint.
