i became a linen convert last summer and want to try out flax linen sheets for the upcoming warmer months. for the past summers, its been organic cotton scored on a sale but they are sateen and not very cooling.

my budget is more ikea vs rough linen. they would still be my most expensive set of sheets to date but last summer was super hot with just a fan, not pretty.

so i discovered king size flax linen sheet sets on ebay and etsy ranging from $140-200 (includes shipping) for two sheets and two pillow cases.

most of the sellers seem to be from eastern europe and made in belarus. i saw one from lithuania too.

i read flax linen has been grown in eastern europe for many years and the quality is better than china. the weight for the sheets are about 160 grams per square meter unwashed and many advertise that they are organic.

i have a queen but opting for king size flat sheets so it can function as a bottom or top sheet. fitted sheets always wear quicker so this way the new sheets should wear longer.

has anyone tried these made in belarus linen sheets?
