Kitchen Renovation

Designed by Chesapeake Kitchens in Randallstown, MD. We had a small very standard L shaped kitchen in a very large space that included an awkward sunroom. We gutted the entire space and created a laundry room, a walk-in pantry, and a galley kitchen with a 120" island that will seat six adults comfortably.

Great job! It’s always interesting to see the ideas people come up with for making their space more efficient. The island is beautiful. Please post pictures of the pantry.

Wow, I love this. Great idea getting rid of an awkward small and creating a laundry room and pantry! How much did the kitchen remodel cost?

Good , uniform lighting ( no shadows or glare ) is very important in a kitchen. When you are mincing and dicing with a sharp knife you want good lighting. Therefore looking at the photo I think you need to re think the lighting.

falon21, It cost about $35K. DIY specialists recommend that kitchen renovations cost less than 15% of the home value--we were definitely under that partially because we did not have to replace the refrigerator or dishwasher.
