I was wondering if anyone reads their soil temps when seed starting with one of those kitchen lasers? Seems like the soil temp in the actual soil is not always the same as the ambient readings from external thermometers. I think I fried a few seeds a couple years ago b/c temps were too high in the actual soil but looked fine on the thermometers next to the trays.
