This is my first year grafting. I'm on the west coast and spring has sprung (fingers crossed it stays that way).
I've veneer grafted some pluots to my plum tree and the buds of the graft are breaking dormancy and opening up. Does this mean the graft is taking it does it simply mean that the pluot scion is using its stored energy.
The bark on my early Apple tree is even slipping already. Crazy.
