cziga, I'm near London not too far from you. Interested in trading bean seed for a slip of that beautiful clematis.

I don't think I had any clematis listed under my trades ... I don't know how to root Clematis (at least not reliably), so I can't really trade any. Besides, my garden won't thaw until late may at least ... I'm sorry :(

Thanks cziga. I had in mind that you might be willing to mail me some small pieces when you prune this spring.

I suppose I could try that, but I suspect that without being rooted properly first, they would just die en route ... I could try and root them but I rarely have success and certainly couldn't promise anything. I wouldn't feel comfortable "trading" for that at any rate, as it most likely wouldn't work. However, if you want to email me later in the Spring, like late May, I can take a look at the Clematis as the garden comes back to life in the Spring and see if I can take cuttings ... and we could talk then, perhaps!
