Galveston, Texas here, we didn't get anywhere near freezing this year. It was my trees first year in the ground, so that was probably best!

No major problems for me either. A few stayed outside and survived with just some old sheets during the few frosts we had. I think the lowest temp in my back yard was 30. Enough for some leaves to get fringe frost but that's it.

So cal here, some started blooming in December and two didn't even go dormant! I have been watering once a week since temps are crazy high and I have a few starting to sprout leaves :) just replanted my big red in the ground yesterday as I've noticed all my plumies in the ground did AMAZING this winter. I was so worried about all the rain but what a joke that was.

I'm south of Austin, TX - no plumies in the ground but I've checked on them all in the garage and they are doing great. I watered them only once over the winter because it's such a pain and I think they'll make it to the time to bring them out just fine. This has been an extremely mild winter.

When do you all expect to see them break dormancy? What is their trigger? Light, rain, temp? This is my first full year of plumeria growing!

oldmangroot - I think a combination of light and temp will break the dormancy. jandey and I will bring our plants out of storage late March / early April after the time change brings longer days and the night temps are consistently above 50ish. It takes a few weeks for them to really get going after that. Are you in Florida? Did yours go dormant?

Yep, I'm in south Florida, north of Miami. They went dormant sometime in November, and I've noticed some signs of waking up lately. The growth points are swelling and turning green or red. No leaves yet, but they seem to be prepping for growth!

I'm glad our your plants are doing great !, To update my Plumeria, The in-ground Plumeria that i did cover with frost cloth ( experiment ) suffered some rotting at the tips where it came in contact with the FC, My other in-ground Plumeria not covered suffered no Damage what so ever .., Same occurred with my In ground Mango Trees .
