Cove up lighting can be achieved with a variety of fixtures - LED tape, LED rope or strips, rail systems, T5 flourescents, etc.
Fixture choice and cove design / shape / size will all impact the overall success of the lighting design. Your lighting designer, interior designer or architectural designer can help you get it right.
Check fixtures at iLight Plexineon, Stone Lighting, WAC Lighting, Bruck Lighting, and Edge Lighting among many, to get started.

This is not my project so I can't provide a specific fixture (you could contact the firm that did this project @ http://www.archipelagohawaii.com if you need specifics) but my 2014 answer above still stands with good information about cove / up lighting.
