TV vs. fireplace?

Does anyone have a better solution for TV placement than high above a fireplace when you only have room for both on the same wall? My architect is suggesting a low horizontal fireplace but still I feel we will be cranking our neck to look up vs. the natural eye level sight line.

Put the fireplace in another room. The formal living room or dining room maybe.

sorry...not enough information. great room concept. no living or formal dining room. they must be in the same room

Then give up the fireplace or fire your architect and start over if you have 2 such contradictory wants that can't be satisfied.
