Make up brush cleaning...

Just an FYI. I usually use my face wash (Clinique liquid face soap)...I had read on line about cleaning brushes and they showed a bottle of Cetaphil, which I have but don't use. It's too rich for my skin. Anyways....I figured I'd use it for cleaning my make up brushes and sponge. Didn't work for me. Usually when I wash my brushes you can see the make up coming out...the water turns pinky beige from the foundation and blushes...I put the cetaphil directly on my make up sponge and squeezed...no color came out...I put my face wash on the sponge and squeezed again, definitely foundation color coming out. I'll stick with my face wash to clean my brushes.
