Will this block wind noise?

My husband and I just built a custom home. We have a large screened in porch off the back of our house. Lately we have been having high winds, and there is a lot of wind howling through the porch. I'm not sure if it's just the large amount of screening causing it or if it's the small spaces between the porch rails and floor or the space around the screen door on the porch.

We do need some shades on the porch. Would these help reduce wind noise and still let some light in?

Hi Mandy,

Thank you for your inquiry. Weather Queen Shades do block the wind. The lighter colored fabric choices allow more light into the porch, and the ability to lower and lift from inside the porch means you could just lower the shades on the windward side.

Mounted to the exterior of the porch and being encased in the Windstop Track system is the backbone of our patented system.. The back pleats of our roman shade style shade contain rigid stainless steel rods that lock against the channel that houses the wheeled carriers. There are other considerations, such as how wide the openings are. Narrow ( 58" or less) is ideal for high wind control, but wider windows can be fitted with a narrow center support.
