I don't think the tile is busy..It's very subtle..The only thing I see (and that is based on my screen) is the difference in color,,the tile looks warmer while the stone looks a lot colder. The stone is closer to the Salerno. If you are going for a darker feel for the basement, then try the Salerno. Do you have a distributor of both materials so you can get larger sample and see how they look together?

Yes the stone appears much darker on screen. Our sample is lighter/softer.

I see,,that Quebec silver is very busy..it has a rustic feel, which is fine..If this were for outside patio, I would combine the two (tile and stone)..for a basement,,I am not sure. I might be a bit biased because I am picking as we speak the paint color for the basement and I am looking at light cream colors:)
I think the basement will be dark and cold with all that gray, which is fine if that is what you are going for in there
