I'm no expert, but I can't imagine a cyclamen from the florist is a hardy cyclamen. Even then, I'd guess we're just too hot and sunny in Oklahoma. You might try it in a pot in the shade, but even then it would be pretty iffy. I had a friend who kept one on her kitchen table and it grew beautifully. (Lots of indirect sunlight, but even temperature.)

I had one for a few years from my moms funeral. Gorgeous plant. I want to say indoor only, but then you get bright colorful flowers to look at every morning.

There are hardy cyclamen, but you won't find them except mail order. Also, do not bother buying dried hard tubers. I would only accept potted growing cyclamen (which usually means a specialist nursery), they don't restart from tubers well.
