Having multiple door openings to a room and having the fireplace and tv compete as focal point for your room each seriously limit what you can do. Sympathy.

You'll need to decide if you want the fireplace or the tv to be the focal point of the room.

You seem to have a walk space between the dark indent behind the sofa and the sofa itself and whether that is needed or optional makes a difference as well.

Is that a door to a hall way or a second doorway to the room with the white chair that is in the corner between the gray chair and the sofa shown in your last pic.

From what I can tell, the sofa likely needs to be facing the fireplace with a walk space behind it and the chairs on each side of it set to enabling walk space directly in between them and/or in front of the fireplace.

You might try drawing the room to scale, with all its openings, including fireplace, on graph paper and then using card stock to cut out the size/shape of the furnishings and moving them around to see what works.

Position the sofa so there is enough room to walk behind it and center it on the fireplace.

Thank you Suzebell & BeverlyFLADeziner. I love how you have created so much seating! The short wall is only 62" long and has entrances to kitchen and hallway. The distance between that wall and fireplace across from it is 12 feet so I am not sure I have the room to create a walking space behind a sofa. My current Crate & Barrel sofa is 92" long. Do you have any suggestions on new furniture? What do you think about the colors of the room?

You should have enough room for the layout if nothing exceeds 36"

The hallway can also be accessed from the kitchen.
