does each framed area a separate cabinet or will the cabinet doors cover more than one framed area?

if each framed area represents a separate cabinet door, then it will look a little odd as it is.

I would try to create symmetry of individual cabinets and not focus on each separately.

will they have European style hinges? is the door face a slab front, panel front, shaker style?

I think a simple slab front will draw less attention to the lack of symmetry that I see now.

Thank you for responding!!!!. The cabinets on the left side is 45 inches wide they are not going to be individual doors. the top doors would be glass door with inside lights.

The Cabinet on the left side would be 2 doors and one individual door the width on the right side is 49 inches

So, I"m not following, ara762. Is it two vertical doors on the left, and three on the right? Or two doors on the left, with one horizontal door on the upper level? Do you have a photo of the door layout that you could add?

I don't have the doors yet but they will be raise panel, on the left would be 2 verticals panel just like the regular cabinets but the upper would be 2 additional doors with glass on them. On the left side would be the same except an additional door to the very right..with upper doors as well

I truly believe the cabinet person messed up the measurements and now need to fix this to get some symmetry.

the kitchen island would be about 109 inches long.

They are made for what your vent for the stove allows, and it will look great. Do not get caught up in what others think. Every kitchen is unique and yours will be fantastic.

Having much larger cabinets especially on the upper area than the right side does not really looks good..

After seeing your dilemma I looked at kitchen photos on houzz. Not every kitchen is perfectly symmetric, because of none visual stuff (plumbing, gaze lines and what not. Since you are in the building phase you could ask why it is not symmetric and if they can make the change. Good luck! You are already on to an amazing start!

i will ask the cabinet person to fix the length in the right side to be 45 inches like the left side and fix the cabinets size to be like the left size. I will be left with 5 inch space in the very right side. Should I consider adding a pull out or maybe shelves to cover that 5 inches.. Any ideas what would be best to consider. Or corner cabinet maybe

    Thank you!!

It is pretty common for there not to by symmetry. My kitchen has cabinets on one side of the hood and a plate rail cabinet on the other.

thanks you I agreed with those pictures but if you noticed the door sizes do match, i just cant feel that I can settle with 3 different sizes( left side) as i am having glass doors in the upper area.. does not look right and my friend seem to agreed and been spending a fortune with this project not be done right:(

Did you see plans prior to ordering?

no i did not see any plans.. The person that is doing them did the measurements, so he did them wrong other wise the hood cabinet could be bigger to even out the rest of the cabinets. I am thinking to have a corner cabinet in the right side would be about 5 inches and extend to the size of the counter size

But I think you definitely want the upper cabinets to match the width of your base cabinets. They're very symmetrical now. If there was a 5" something on the right upper, it would look off with the base, IMO.

In the second picture the doors are different sizes - it is the opposite of what you have. However, if you are uncomfortable with it, now is the time to change it.

Four doors. Right side doors can be slightly larger. No big deal!

Suezbell, do you have a picture of something similar you are suggesting, I really like that idea.
