Another option may be to stain the linen closet door and paint the main door the color of the walls, then do the trim the dark color. I'm guessing you could keep the shower curtain closed or at least partially closed to cover the window in the tub area.

I would paint it white to make the bathroom seem bigger. The door should be bright I think.

Is this bathroom an ensuite in your bedroom? Or do you need to match other doors in the house for continuity? If you are adding white trim, I would do both doors white.

I would make or find a long mirror that is same size or close to as linen closet door. Try to match your linen door as close as you can get. then stain both the linen door & mirror trim. This reflects light & wall color, ties in your stain color on the opposite wall (linen door) and is a good "middle of the road" compromise of your delema. Oh, and paint/stain the door to match the rest of your doors in the house.

Paint the doors white esp. if other doors & trim in your home are painted white.

such great ideas! Thank you. I was going to match the front side of door facing the hallway to match the other doors in the hall, and then paint or stain back of door to match the bathroom. bathroom is not an on suite.
