Repurposed bird feeder

I bought this old bird feeder at the swap meet a month ago for five bucks thinking it would be good for a Hoya. I dug up a suitable cache pot in the shed but kept forgetting to get a hook for it.

I hemmed and hawed about which of my Hoya would be best (I have imposed a strict no new plants policy), but after looking through google decided on minibelle. I think its a good match.

Adam, after I purchased my Hoya Ilagiorum, I tried to decide on "one last plant then, that's it !" Hoya Mendorensis with its fuzzy little hairy blooms has always been in the back of my head. You have good taste and poor discipline, just like the rest of us. I hope your new place has plenty of room for all the plants and cuttings YOU AREN'T buying at the moment. lol.

Very nice, Adam. I've always found the long-leaved Hoyas to be irresistible. When it fills in, it will be quite a sight to see!

Well that's a perfect Hoya basket if I ever saw one. Good find. I think anything would look good in it.

We're planning on relocating, so I need to be selling plants, not buying new ones. I do have a standing exemption if i find a kerrii though.

And i dont count the cuttings i got at the weekend either.

Great idea, Adam! Minibelle looks wonderful! I've been having the same pondering over my plants for these bird cages that recently came into my possession (one from Goodwill, one from my gram). I just got a new Compacta yesterday, so I am not sure where that one is going to go. I need my greenhouse and fast! ;)

Monica, Ric is selling minibelle cuttings on ebay. Look for ricnfl, which is his ebay seller ID. Awesome seller. Buy two or more cuttings, free extra. Also, he combines shipping.

Adam, you're now an involuntary member of Hoyaholics Anonymous. Welcome! The HA meetings are on Tuesday evenings. Everyone must show new Hoyas he/she hides from their loved ones.

I was worried that it wouldn't like my climate. Apparently its a bit fussy.
