Socotranum and Arabicum cross has been recommended for a good bonsai base. I am looking to graft and have the antique skin with a twisted caudex or just not the can shape. With Rosey flowers. I have young obesum plants now and they should bloom in summer. They have not leafed out yet. I am looking for a more round thick leaf but not sure if Rosey produce said leaves.

I am still reading about bonsai forms with adenium. I think the S and A cross may produce a more stunted or twist caudex. Is this so? I have not read what age plant to start to shape for top root going out and around the caudex. Nor have I chosen what bonsai size pot. Do the roots on the spread thicken and enlarge with age? Or can you kept them small?

Rick has several old post of Bonsai type but can't tell what height and width I can keep them at. I like about 2' either way.

What is it like to work with older seedling? but are there S and A cross seedling out there for sale.
