What kind of lights?

While they are very young sprouts fluorescent light won't hurt them in any way. In the greenhouse we grow them right along with everything else. Exposure to full sun spectrum only becomes an issue for them (faded colors) once they achieve size and have a couple of sets of true leaves. But even then most artificial lights aren't nearly as strong as sunlight. But if using HID or HP lighting then move them off to the side.

I've started coleus under fluorescent lights with other sun loving annuals and I've never had an issue. They get 12-14 hours of light daily. I'm doing hypoestes this year for the first time and they are getting the same treatment.

Thanks for the advice. I have a couple of T8 shop lights that I'll use for these guys. I also have a T5 high output grow light, but am reserving that space for peppers and tomatoes. Sounds like I can keep the timer the same for all!
