Don't you hate that, I've done the same thing so many times. It always seems to be the new ones that I haven't seen bloom before, or one that got moved with no tag so I'm really wanting to see what it is.

Oh, what a shame. I can relate to this. Darn grass and weeds growing where we don't want them! I hope it opens so you get to see it, or that another in the group puts up a flower this year.

I know that this is a older post. I can't tell from the picture if it broke all the way or not. I'm not sure if this would work, but I have a orchid that I broke the stem on. It wasn't broken all the way, so someone suggested I put scotch tape on it. It worked and the blooms opened.

Did it open? Did the new bud stalk grow and bloom?

No RedWolf. It was too immature. But the rest of the plant thrived and because it has a waiting period between opening buds it has had a longer run than others. I photographed the last flower today. I love this iris!

Beth, I agree on saving partial broken stems. It works. This one was totally severed. :-(
