Few of my Japanese maples are in leaf Joanies pink and kashima

Ah, and so it begins. So welcomed Todd. Wonder where you are? My new-last-year JM Laceleaf has lots of buds all over, so it seems to have survived the winter just fine. Can't wait to see everyone's photos. Thanks for yours.

Mine has gotten pretty large, spring is when it's at its best, pretty standard green all summer. Mine has never been great in fall as it gets a little crispy here in texas

My Japanese maples are just about as far along now as yours in the first pictures. Maybe three more days and they will be the same. Seattle is ahead of me by about a week and a half. I'm in the foothills.

Here just outside DC (heat sink), my JM Red Dragon Laceleaf has just nubbs of soon-to-erupt leaves. It weathered winter ok: I would plant it more protected if doing again.

Mike, I'm going to snip another surface root I noted yesterday that also is circling the trunk. It's tight, so must go. Will add mulch. Tree seems healthy. Will post a pic when leaves are out.
