Darker hardwood?? Hard to live with

I agree w Interiors Int..esp with the bookshelves and the ceiling...

What is the flooring in the adjacent areas? I think this looks fine..it's not the floor that makes you think it looks off. Maybe add a little more color to the room to make it disappear..it is all beige now. Maybe a little color on the bookcase wall.

Keep it! Looks more sophisticated than wood.

I think the room looks stunning and the floor really compliments the look of your fireplace and pillars.

Why not just clean the existing tile (travertine?) and seal it with a darker finish. There are plenty of sealers that would bring out a darker and cleaner look.

Someone in sales can tell you how to clean it properly and if you did replace it I would still do stone. Unless you keep getting leg pains....then the floor is too hard for you and I'd switch to wood.
