From personal experience and replacing quite a few refaced kitchens for customers during the years in business, the majority said "they should have done a new kitchen instead" and the other majority cringed their nose and said " it was ok for the time being but we should have replaced it with new cabinets instead",

IMO I guess it doesn't pay in the long run and you better off getting a new kitchen especially nowadays where you have so many manufacturers and you can get a pretty decent kitchen without breaking a bank.

IMO. I've done both. The price difference wasn't enough to make it worth it. Given the choice again I would replace them. As GN said above there manufacturers in many price points now.
