I would like to go the same route in my remodel. Love the look of soapstone, but looking for something more durable. This honed jet mist seems to be the way to go... I have heard that a honed piece of granite can stain easily, what are your thoughts?

If you are looking for the Soapstone look this honed stone looks fantastic with the sealer enhancer on it which seals it and makes it easy to maintain. Be sure to get a test piece so you know what its going to look like, once you seal it there is no taking it off.

There are different varieties of soapstone with lower talc content that are harder than others. These are a good option for those who may not be prepared for the way soapstone ages... You can see a nice variety to choose from at www.soapstones.com

Does the sealer enhancer make the jet mist less susceptible to fingerprints and oil stains? How often do you have to seal it?
