Where I've had more success ...

Well, since I started a thread about plants that haven't done as well for me, I thought that I would start a thread on plants which have done well/are doing well for me.

Private Dancer - has to take the prize for my most successful violet. I started growing it my Chloramine years, ... and it was simply stunning at times. It propagates well ... I've got a new plant about to bloom for the first time ... and the bloom color is just breathtaking. A dark violet blue semi-double with a more magenta border. And the foliage is an easy variegation. It's consistent, no matter the temperature, or degree of light, the variegation is always strong.

Another good one has been San Mateo Blues. This plant is gorgeous when in bloom. It also seems eager to grow.

A couple Apaches that seem to be growing well for me are Apache Midnight and Apache bandit. Both plants have gorgeous pink/tan variegation and every now and then Midnight will send up just stunning dark violet semi-double blooms. I haven't had Bandit for as long, so its blooming is still yet to be, but it's growing well.
